Completely. There are zero fees for adding, keeping, transferring, and sharing money. Your loved ones don’t pay fees either. Plus, both of you benefit from better exchange rates during currency conversion.

What do I need to get started?
Simply sign in with your existing Remitly login details. When you want to send money or invite someone to a shared account, you can select from your frequent Remitly recipients and use the available payment methods already in place.
How does Remitly Circle expand my regular Remitly experience?
Remitly Circle goes beyond sending money home. For the first time, you can open a global account with a balance in USD–and you can have up to 5 accounts. You can choose to share any of the accounts with loved ones or keep them all for yourself.
What’s the difference between “Send” and “Share” in Remitly Circle?
“Send” is your classic transfer. You can send money home using any available delivery option.
“Share” is the new way to send money. Simply open an account in Remitly Circle and share it with your loved ones. Any money you add to the account becomes instantly available to them as soon as you’ve added it, ready to withdraw whenever they need it—even while you sleep.
Can I send money to myself?
Absolutely. You can open a Remitly Circle account to store money for yourself and transfer any amount, at any time from your Remitly Circle account to your bank account, digital wallet or a cash pickup location back home, completely fee-free.
What’s the benefit of a USD balance?
When your account balance is in US dollars, you are better able to protect your money from local currency fluctuations and ensure your money remains strong, all with zero fees. Your account balance remains in USD until you decide to transfer money out, at which point you can easily exchange it to other currencies, and at even better rates than in the Remitly app.
What do my loved ones get when I share an account?
When you share an account, your loved ones can keep a balance in USD as well within the same app. They can withdraw money and convert it into local currency at better rates and with zero fees, whenever and however they see fit. This can all be done directly from Remitly Circle without any additional information from you.
What access does someone get when I share an account with them?
You can share an account with complete confidence. The person you share an account with can only access that specific shared account and withdraw the money you choose to share with them. They won't be able to view the activities in your other Remitly Circle accounts. This ensures your privacy and control over your finances.
Do family members need any documentation to use a shared account?
No. If it’s someone who lives outside the United States, and they are joining a shared account as an authorized account member, we'll ask them to verify their email address, phone, name, address, and date of birth.
In which countries is Remitly Circle available?
The app is available in the U.S. for sending money to the Philippines, India, Mexico, and Colombia. It can also be downloaded in the Philippines and India. More countries will be added soon.
